Because of the spread of Father Maurice’s engagements, he will only be undertaking 10 3-day parish missions (in North America), 4 parish retreats (in Africa) and 2 parish missions in (Asia or Europe) per year.
Since the available times are limited, the inviting parish must be at least 1000 families. Smaller parishes could collaborate with neighboring parishes to plan for an event. Fr. Maurice is booked at least a year in advance and individual participants must register for free (through provided online or hardcopy forms) at least a month prior to the event, leaving ample time for supplying the necessary study materials or guide. A minimum of 400 participants is required for Father Maurice to attend the parish mission.
Three talks of one hour each are presented at the events plus daily Mass, Confessions (on the second day), Eucharistic Adoration and healing service following the talk (on the last day). Pastors will invite priests to help with confession on the evening of the second day.
Time for events are: 5:30pm (Mass), 6:15pm (Talk), 7:15pm (prayers or Eucharistic Adoration or Confession, as the case may be). Father Maurice will also be available after each night’s events for 30 minutes, to sign books and attend to individual questions of participants.
Parish Mission Packages
For the 2017 to 2019 schedule, there are three groups of packages Father Maurice focuses on.
Package 1: Growing in Faith—An engaging, spiritual and inspirational exploration of the riches of the Catholic faith and how to make the faith of the individual and the worshiping community come alive.
Day 1: Learning from Abraham and Mary
Day 2: Overcoming Doubt
Day 3: Faith Deepening through the Graces of the Sacraments and God’s Word
Package 2: Forgiveness, Reconciliation and Healing—Three sessions on healing from the wounds of sin, unforgiveness, hurting experiences, broken relationships and addiction.
Day 1: Healing power of forgiveness
Day 2: Reconciling with God, with one another, and the hurting past—the Healing Power of Confession
Day 3: Drawing from God’s Healing Graces
Package 3: Prayer, Spirituality and Sacramental Spirituality—Are you bored with praying or simply finding it hard to keep a stable and edifying prayer-life? This is a wonderful time to rediscover the richness of Catholic spirituality through immersion in prayerful treasures, private and public, with which God has graced us.
Day 1: Understanding God’s conversation
Day 2: Learning how to grow from vocal prayer to meditative prayer and contemplation.
Day 3: Blessings of Contemplation—Learning from Mother Mary (from the knees to service for the parish and community)
Please note: If Father Maurice comes on the weekend for the parish mission, he would preach in all Masses (he could concelebrate, but must preach), in order to orient the people towards the program, as well as hint on what to expect. If the program is for- Thursday through Sunday, a three-minute video of Father Maurice speaking to invite the people personally for the event would be provided to the parish. This would be shown before the final dismissal at each Mass.
Father Maurice will decline to come if there is any major aspect of the format (except time schedule) which the pastor of the Church is uncomfortable with and would not support. The entire program package should be downloaded and presented to the pastor or the relevant authority (ecclesiastical or otherwise) for his agreement, in writing, before inviting Father Maurice. Please download the Speaker/Booking Form, which the pastor or relevant authority must fill in, agreeing to the program. Once the pastor has completed and signed the relevant releases, the inviting team may then book the mission.

And much more… Father Maurice can speak on any topic ranging from the sacraments, prayer, New Evangelisation, Building a Parish, Leadership, Providence and Grace, etc.
Father Maurice is open to speaking to different professional groups and conferences. His experience in the corporate world and his deep Catholic spirituality inspire him to motivate others by the grace of God. His messages are dynamic, joyful and connected with the grace and love of God for God’s people. Though he may speak on deep theology, his focus is always the heart. He has a way of making complex theological issues resonate, in simple ways, with people and their love for the Lord.
Young Adult and High School Youth Conferences and Rallies
Teens and young adults are one of the groups that Father Maurice is deeply passionate about. On one occasion, he spoke to over fifteen thousand teens and young adults at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, Nigeria. He has spoken to numerous teen groups also here in the USA. See his resource package for the teens and young adults above.
Eucharistic and Marian Conferences
The spirituality of Father Maurice is rooted on three pillars, as he has shared on several occasions—Mother Mary, the Holy Spirit and Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Hence, Marian and Eucharistic Conferences are one of his favorites. He likes speaking on Mary, on the necessity of deep Eucharistic spirituality and the practice of Holy Hour and the Life of the Spirit.
All travel expenses are to be covered by the sponsoring place/organization. If Father Maurice drives to your location, mileage is paid by your parish/group at a rate of 50 cents per mile, and any hotel expenses incurred are also your responsibility. If he flies, Father Maurice would prefer that his travel agent take care of the flight arrangements and then bill your parish/group. Consistent with the spirit of responsible stewardship, Father Maurice will always go for a more reasonable and realistic flight schedule and fare. The sponsoring parish or conference is responsible for picking up Father Maurice at the airport and making sure he gets taken back to the airport on time for his return flight. Your billed travel expenses will be submitted to the hosting organization and reimbursed-by check payable to the order of “Gratia Vobis Ministries.”
Private Eucharistic Adoration and Prayer Space
Father Maurice is deeply devoted to the Blessed Sacrament and likes to have at least two hours for his private Eucharistic adoration everyday. So, any parish where Father Maurice will stay overnight for a program should have a facility (chapel or main church) where Father Maurice can have quiet time with God before the exposed Blessed Sacrament.
During the Parish Mission or Conference
Please cancel all other Parish activities. It is Father Maurice’s wish that the mission be a parish affair so everyone can participate in the program and share in the experience. If there are different parish groups and schools, they should be invited to participate. High school groups, for those who have them, could be very engaged in the program, offering some services like ushering, handing out program leaflets, etc. This is good for the kids too. They should be encouraged to invite and come along with their parents.
Sale of Media and Books:
Gratia Vobis Ministries only, will provide media and books to be sold at the event. Prior to your event, contact Gratia Vobis Ministries’ office at 1 (866) 219 7790 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org, providing the name, address, email and phone number of the person in charge of media and book sales. Media and books will be mailed in advance of the event to the person in charge. Arrangements should be made to have tables set for the display of resources and at least two persons available at the table during the event to handle sales.
Meals & Accommodations:
If a parish event, Father Maurice would prefer to stay in the rectory unless there is no available room. In that case, he would prefer to stay at a hotel. Father Maurice is a healthy eater, but has no dietary restrictions, except avoiding butter and excessive fat foods.
Parish Mission: There is no set fee for Father Maurice’s speaking engagements at a parish mission. He will graciously accept any stipend from the hosting parish or group. In addition, he asks that a free-will offering be taken on the last night of a Parish Mission to support Gratia Vobis Ministries’ ongoing evangelisation production and charity projects. A check for this free-will collection should be made payable to “Gratia Vobis Ministries.”
For other speaking engagements: Equally, there is no fixed fee. Father Maurice believes that it is through your generosity that he keeps sharing God’s love and word across the globe. A reasonable stipend for such events is welcome. His check for the stipend is to be made payable to “Gratia Vobis Ministries. Memo: Stipend.”
